Beyond being the time when everyone gets ready, this is a truly privileged moment with the people who are closest to you. It’s the moment when I can capture the bonds that unite you in complete intimacy, before the hustle and bustle of the day and the arrival of all your guests.
Take advantage of it to plan special moments with the people who matter to you. Perhaps by offering surprises to your bridesmaid, arranging a first look with your dad so he see you in your dress, enjoying a game of pool with your best friends… The possibilities are vast. You can also decide whether you want to see each other before the ceremony, just the two of you, or if you prefer a more traditional reveal during the ceremony.
It’s a moment full of emotions, where you’ll laugh, feel nervous, but where you’ll be perfectly surrounded. The photos will capture all these stages you’ll go through, your connections with the people you love the most in the world, and you in the most beautiful outfit of your life.
Ceremony
Together, we will have gone through what you plan for your ceremony and any surprises you wish to plan for your guests so that I can be as responsive as possible.
On the big day, I will be as discreet as possible to allow you to fully enjoy the celebration. Always attentive to let your guests experience this moment, I will blend in among them. I will often be crouched down not to disturb them, slipping along the outskirts of pathways to move. The goal is to fade into the background so that you can fully live this moment.
Cocktail
My goal during the cocktail hour is to strive to photograph ALL your guests so that each of them can have a lovely portrait of themselves, perfectly dressed for the occasion. I watch for smiles and bursts of laughter for beautiful lively photos. It’s a moment where I am constantly on the lookout and certainly the one where you’ll have the most photos so that you can remember each person present.
A nice gift that I plan for your guests is to offer couples and families present a mini photo session of them. All the photos will be in the gallery of your wedding so that everyone can easily find them.
Couple
If you’re worried about not feeling comfortable or photogenic, rest assured, I am here to guide and accompany you throughout the couple’s session.
This is one of the few moments of the day where you will have the opportunity to be alone together. Therefore, this moment should be enjoyable and allow you to immerse yourselves in your own little bubble. Generally, I guide you in a direction based on the light and the setting, then suggest actions that encourage movement for a more natural feel. The idea is for you to reconnect and fully enjoy being together.
We can mix natural and more editorial photos to ensure that the photos not only reflect you but are also artistic. I operate through dialogue and suggestions; nothing is ever imposed.
